CXR Larus History Highlights Larus History Highlights 1980- Company founded as Larus Corporation, first year sales total $1200. The first product was a 66 Block mounted repeat coil. Their first customer was MCI. 1981- More voice circuit products introduced, revenues up 12,000% to $140K. 1984- First million dollar sales year. 1985- Introduced first Automatic Span Powering Repeater with selectable precompensation, the 1101. 1986- More ASPR repeaters released, sales top $2 million for the first time. 1988- Sales top $5 million for the year. 1989- Larus purchases Flextie 56 and T1 Automatic Protection Switch product lines from California Microwave. Larus introduces its first in a series of advanced Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) Timing Systems, the STS 5300. Its Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis (DDFS) technology is patented. 1990- Larus enters into an agreement with AT&T to provide T1 Single Ended Protection Switches and a quad T1 to fiber optic extension product family dubbed the DDM-Plus. Eventually, over 25,000 units of the fiber products are sold. Larus earns AT&T QLP Gold status. 1992- Sales top $10 million for the first time, ending the year at $12 million. 1993- Larus introduces the next generation in SDH Timing, the 5400, incorporating a Rubidium based Stratum 1 level reference and utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. 1994- Larus earns ISO-9001 certification as a world class manufacturer. 1996- Larus partners with Alcatel to provide timing for its 1680 OGX switch, and Larus introduces the StarClock 100 Output Timing System. 1997- Larus introduces a license free quad T1 microwave radio system , the Model 7000. Sales exceed $18 million. 1999- Larus releases the 5800 StarClock, an innovative single box timing solution. 2000- Larus releases the 5850 Primary Reference Source (PRS). 2004- Larus begins shipping new StarClock 200 Timing Products for the RBOC market. Larus is purchased by EMRISE Corporation.
