CXR Larus Announces Release of Latest Next GenerationTiming Upgrade Modules for StarClock Timing and Sync PlatformsNew features of Model 54582 series include NTP V4 Time Server San Jose, Calif., Feb 11, 2009 –CXR Larus, a leading manufacturer of advanced traditional and Next Generation timing and network access solutions today announced the newest additions to its extensive lineup of synchronization and timing products; a new series of Network Time Protocol (NTP V4 draft) and Precision Time Protocol (IEEE-1588 V2) upgrade modules for the industry standard CXR Larus StarClock 100, 200 and 200E timing systems. The specially designed CXR Larus Model 54582 series of NTP Server / PTP IEEE-1588V2 Grandmaster Clock Modules brings these timing legends into the latest Next Generation IP world without the requirement for purchasing an entirely new timing system. The Model 54582 NTP/PTP modules can be installed and serviced without taking the existing shelves out of service, fully ensuring network timing integrity during installation. An HTTP Graphical Web User Interface as well as an industry standard TL1 command set are available for management with the Model 54582, either from a front panel mounted RS-232 jack, or via an ethernet based Telnet/SSH session. SNMP V2c and V3 are both fully supported at no additional charge, ensuring seamless integration into managed networks. Other key features include: * Precise NTP within 10 microseconds of UTC with hardware based 100 Mbps Wireline NTP processing speed * Local Serial RS-232 Craft Port for configuration and management with a HTTP Web Interface at no additional charge Regarding the Model 54582, Larry Taillie, President of CXR Larus Corporation commented; “There is a worldwide large installed base of our ultra-reliable StarClock timing systems currently supporting critical network infrastructure to a diverse customer base..
