CXR LARUS CORPORATION RECEIVES RELEASE OF SECOND PHASE OF THREE YEAR $2.9 MILLION CONTRACT WITH FAA FOR TEST SETS TO UPGRADE COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY IN NATION'S AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL NETWORKS
In excess of $850K of additional orders expected in early FY2010, with balance of orders in 2011
San Jose, CA- February 23, 2010- CXR Larus Corporation: CXR Larus Corporation, a leading manufacturer of mission critical data communications test sets and Next Generation timing and network access solutions today announced that it has received a one year contract extension from the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), which releases an additional $868K for potential orders for the Company's Halcyon Universal Data Test Set (704A-NTS1/FAA/SS). These test sets are to be installed as part of an ongoing initiative to upgrade the communications test technology used in the commercial and military aviation control networks. This contract extension is in addition to the first phase of the contract awarded to CXR Larus in FY2009. The third phase of the contract is expected to be in place by January 2011 for the remaining balance of the original $2.9M award.
Regarding the release, Larry Taillie, President of CXR Larus Corporation commented; "The Halcyon 704A-NTS1/FAA/SS features were developed to meet the specific and exacting needs of the FAA. It allows the FAA to service the testing requirements of its network in a much more efficient and cost effective manner.
