Fiber Optic Line Extensions and Modems

We provide cost-efficient optical solutions to everyone from major carriers to the smallest enterprise application. Typical CXR Larus fiber optic products convert electrical DS1 or E1 into optical signals for transport through single mode or multimode fiber cable. These are used for the interconnection of LANs and WANs, extending the local loop, or used in the customer premis network in order to extend a LAN to LAN connection. We also carry the CXR Anderson Jacobson line of Fiber Optic media converters which will transport V.35, 10B-T, RS-232, or X.21 over fiber cable. The CXR Larus Model FT2ER local loop lightwave extension for metallic T1 is a four-channel DS1 multiplexer/demultiplexer that operates with full protection on the fiber (network) side. An end-to-end Model FT2ER Quad DS1 Fiber Optic Extension System is comprised of the FT2ER circuit pack and mounting shelf at each terminal end and the interconnecting fiber. A fully protected system requires two FT2ER circuit packs at each terminal end. The units operate with either single or multimode cable, with distances of up to 39 miles (63.3 kM). They are also ideal in pedestal and CEV envrionments, and operate over a temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C.

Model FE2 Quad E1 Fiber Optic Extension for International Applications
The Larus Model FE2 is a local loop or short haul lightwave extension for metallic E1. This four channel E1 multiplexer/demultiplexer operates over a single mode or multimode fiber optic cable. The Model FE2 Quad E1 Fiber Optic Extension delivers four E1 signals over a fiber-to-metallic interface. Fiber span lengths are up to 63 kilometers (39 miles) over single mode fiber. The FE2 provides the long span lengths required to make fiber optic loops cost-effective and practical.
