GPS Stratum 1 Primary Reference Source (PRS)
Cesium Performance at a much lower price!The CXR Larus StarSync™ 5850 and 5850E are economical
GPS Stratum 1/PRC Primary Reference Sources designed for retrofits of
existing BITS clocks and for remote sites that require timing. The
StarSync™ 5850 provides GPS Stratum 1 clock with Stratum
2 or 3E bridging performance.
The StarSyncTM 5850E provides the same
features as the 5850, except it provides E1 outputs rather than DS1.
The StarSync TM 5850 and 5850E
feature four accurate DS1 or E1 timing references that are synthesized
from GPS for use by BITS clocks, SONET or SDH NEs, intelligent
multiplexers, and PCS systems as well as other systems requiring
synchronization. Options permit the StarSync TM
5850 and 5850E to be configured for Stratum 1 (PRC) Input Track and
either Stratum 2 (TNC) or Stratum 3E (LNC) Bridge. Superior performance
is achieved by Advanced Kalman filtering, patented digital frequency
synthesis technology, and use of GPS satellite information to discipline
a rubidium oscillator (Stratum 2/TNC) or an ultra stable ovenized
reference oscillator (Stratum 3E/LNC).
If your GPS antenna has to be located farther than 500 feet from the
StarSyncTM system, consider the optional DUC GPS Antenna Extender Kit to avoid the hassles and cost of running
expensive special low loss cable.
